Lecture:

What's After Effects?

Adobe after effects is a 2.5D animation software that's used for animation, visual effects and motion picture compositing. This software is used in TV, film and web video creation.

This software also takes a different approach to create a movement.

Motion graphics animation works by manipulating vector and rasterized art to create and tell a story

We can also integrate physical based media as well through photographs and videography

Pre- Compositing in Adobe Photoshop

Photoshop is a platform to compose the layers. And all the layers need to be arranged and rename accordingly so that it we be easy to organize and animate later in adobe after effects

On the other hand Adobe after effects is a digital visual effects, motion graphics and composing application/software.

Which means we can import elements such as images, videos vector, and more into after effects.

All the layers needs to be organized and synchronized to the external software platforms such as Photoshop or Adobe illustrator.

An important note is that After effects does not embed its media, it links into it

Week 10: Adobe After Effects Exercise

For this exercise Mr. Fauzi teaches us the basic of Adobe After Effects, this software allows us to make a simple animation. For this exercise we are given the Photoshop file (a digital collage) , and the goal is to animate the digital collage that Mr. Fauzi gives us.
