Task 1/ Typographic Exploration
For the next exercise, Mr. Max wants us to use InDesign to write our own names but using the 10 different fonts that was given to us in the first week of the typography class. This exercise is actually kind of fun, because it gives us a chance to view the different fonts that was given to us in a bigger size.
This exercise also teaches us about tracking and kerning.

Task 2: Typographic Exploration
For task 2, we had to create a two-page editorial spread (200x200mm). I chose the text with the headline "A code to build on and live by". We designed the headline in Adobe Illustrator and formatted the layout in Adobe InDesign.

Reflection:
During my 14 weeks of learning Typography, i learned that a good typography is essential to a good design. I'll have to admit that learning about typography is not the easiest thing, however i enjoyed every process of it from Task 1(Type Expression) until Task 3 (Type Design & Communication). I'm also very grateful and thankful to Mr.Max, because he's been a good lecturer all this time, always teaching with a good mood and always ready to help me when needed.
Observation:
During my time of learning typography, i learned that there are many things that we must watch out for when doing a typography design. The first thing and the most important thing is to always pay close attention to our design. Sometimes there are a small flaw that are not noticeable with a normal viewing distance.
Findings:
In Typography there are a lot of things to watch out for, such as kerning and spacing between letters, and also we need to pay attention to our spacing. So sometimes even when we had a good design in mind, we can't create that design because of the rules that we have to follow.
