What have I learned from this module?
During the 7 weeks, I learned that design principles is important when we are
designing something, even if we are not a graphic designer or Adobe
Illustrator user. i leaned that design principles should be applied in
everything including when designing User interface (UI).
What did I enjoy the most:
During this module, my favorite thing is during the Task 1 and Task 2, I
enjoyed Task 1 because during that task I learned a lot of things about
designs theory and design terms that I previously didn't know. and during Task
2 it was fun because we are allowed to do some experiments with our chosen
artwork. This way we can create something and we could know what works and
what doesn't work.
What I Did not enjoy the most:
Task 3 is definitely the worst compared to task 1 and 2, this is because I'm
not really good at using illustrator and I'm more into UI/UX. however I still
enjoyed doing task 3 because of the guidance that Dr. Charles gave me.
What have I learned about myself through this module?
I learned that I am not really good at using illustrator and I'm more into
UI/UX person, however I also learned that no design is perfect and I also
learned that it is okay to express our ideas even though its not perfect.
What has changed and what has not during my learning journey?
After taking this module I pay more attention to the design that I saw online,
and I always observe on what design principles are being used on the design
that I saw, also I am now always looking for the little details that the
designer put into the artwork. the thing that is not changed however is that I
am always anxious to show my incomplete artwork to my lecturer (maybe because
I'm an introvert), however I hope that I can become more confident in the
future.
What are my aspirations?
I hope by taking this module I could create something meaningful in the
future, whether that's a poster, or a user interface. i hope that the things
that I learned during this module could guide me in the future.
